BAGHDAD - One civilian was killed and three others injured when a mortar round hit a house in central Baghdad on Saturday, police said.
KHALIS - Five people were killed and two injured when their car struck a roadside bomb outside the local headquarters of the Iraqi Islamic Party in Khalis, 60 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - Two policemen were killed and one was injured when a roadside bomb struck their car in the centre of Baghdad. Police said four civilians were also injured.
BAGHDAD - Four police commandos were seriously injured when a roadside bomb struck their car in al-Dura district in southern Baghdad, police said.
BAIJI - One civilian was killed and another injured when a U.S. patrol opened fire after a roadside bomb went off nearby in Baiji 180 km (112 miles) north of Baghdad. No casualties were reported among the U.S. patrol, the U.S. army said.
