News Update (NOT) & Discussion Thread
The media news coming from Iraq is pretty quiet today with the blanket curfews, airports closed, borders closed (free elections eh?) and this media are just recycling most of the comprehensive news links that Matt posted yesterday.
The coming election results will not be a solution for Iraq unless there is a unifying Sunni/Shia alliance that scuppers Kurdistan's independence ambitions. Better the Kurds, and I think Talibani is a realist, deal with the insurgency than rather going it alone to face the Turks, Iranians and Syrians?
Who will be the next Iraqi PM?
