Matt and I have swaped days, he will be Sundays from now on and I will do Wednesdays. His news post will be up later. I want to ask readers to comment upon the turmoil in Iraq. After all, look at Baghdad not so long ago.

Baghdad was prior to the wars of the 1980's and 90's one of the leading cultural centres of the Arab world. Some of the most famous sculptors, poets and writers have come from Baghdad, or worked from the city. In literature, Baghdad has earned fame for its free-verse poets.
